Microsoft Office 2007 (previously known as Office 12) is Microsoft's newest productivity suite and was made available to the public on 30th January 2007. Office 2007 contains numerous improvements over the previous Microsoft Office 2003, including new server-side tools, enhanced reliability and security, and an entirely different user interface called the "Ribbon" - replacing the aging menus and tools bars in previous Office versions.
Microsoft Office 2007 runs on either Windows XP (with Service Pack 2), Windows Server 2003 or Windows Vista and has the following hardware requirements:
- 500MHz processor or higher
- 256MB memory or higher
- 2GB hard disk
- CD-ROM or DVD-ROM
- 1024x768 monitor
It pays to understand the options available for a smooth upgrade to Microsoft Office 2007. Essentially, you should know the different product editions, versions and corresponding retail prices.
There are 8 editions of Microsoft Office 2007 altogether but only 5 editions are available for retail purchase. The various editions differ by their bundled applications, i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook (with Business Contact Manager), Accounting Express, Publisher, Access, Infopath, Groove, OneNote and Communicator.
The suggested retail prices and bundled applications for the 5 product editions are listed below:
a) Office 2007 Ultimate Edition
MSRP: 9 (Full), 9 (Upgrade)
Applications: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook with Business Contact Manager, Accounting Express, Publisher, Access, InfoPath, Groove, OneNote, Content Management, Intergrated Forms and Rights Management.
b) Office 2007 Professional Edition
MSRP: 9 (Full), 9 (Upgrade)
Applications: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook with Business Contact Manager, Accounting Express, Publisher and Access.
c) Office 2007 Small Business Edition
MSRP: 9 (Full), 9 (Upgrade)
Applications: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook with Business Contact Manager, Accounting Express and Publisher.
d) Office 2007 Standard Edition
MSRP: 9 (Full), 9 (Upgrade)
Applications: Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.
e) Office 2007 Home & Student Edition
MSRP: 9 (Full)
Applications: Word, Excel, Powerpoint and OneNote.
Besides understanding the different product editions, you should know the different versions available and their limitations:
a) OEM Version - you need to purchase new hardware to qualify for this version. However, the license lives and dies with that specific system and is non-transferable.
b) Upgrade Version - more expensive than OEM but cheaper than a Full version. The license is transferable but you need to be upgrading from a previous Office suite to qualify, i.e. Microsoft Works Suite 2000, Office 2003 or Office XP.
c) Full Version - the most expensive version and hence, has the least limitation.

The first thing I suggest is to use the MICROSOFT OUTLOOK.
In the OUTLOOK EXPRESS to copy all your mail contacts & address book. First open the outlook express. Go to the
TOOLS -> OPTIONS -> MAINTENANCE TAB -> STORE FOLDER. There you will be able to see the full folder details of your complete outlook express mail contacts. Copy the the folder address. Then close the Outlook Express. Go to the C: folder paste the copied address in the address bar & press enter. You will find all your mail contacts in the dbx format. Now go to the address bar again. Delete the word Outlook Express from the last. And press enter. Now the folder of Outlook Express mails would appear. Select the folder & write to the CD.
To export the Address Book: Open the Outlook Express.
Select the Addresses Icon from the toolbar.
FILE -> EXPORT -> SELECT THE FILE OR FOLDER OR THE CD DRIVE TO EXPORT.
I hope this would solve your prob.

What kind of computer would best fit our needs?!
?
What is the best computer for Graphic Design, Photography Editing, Games, and Digital Scrapbooking? I guess you can say we need a lot of memory. We want to get dual screens, and get one of those splitter things, lol i dont know what the right name is. I know it would be best to get a custom built one, but i am stupid when it comes to building a computer. lol.
Im on a local website that builds computers and i am needing to put in a bunch of things that i would need, but like i said..its all basically in a different language.

Yes, a custom built pc is always the best option. If you’re not going to build it yourself, then i recommend you go down to your local computer store and nose around in there.
(By that i mean a small, possibly family-run store, not one in a large chain of outlets. Chain stores charge you way over the odds and sell you things you wont really need. Go to a smaller store for the fastest, kindest, most honest service) Ask lots of questions.
Never buy a ‘custom built’ pc from the internet. I know many people who have and in my experience theyre more trouble then they are worth, especially in after-sales customer support.

which accounting software is better for a small business?
I am trying to control 4 separate businesses from one location. Basicly checking on sales, expenses, profit & loss, bank deposits and other similar reports. Each business has its own system and reports to the headquarter on daily basis. I am looking for an accounting software that will fit this scenario…I just need to receive, compile and generate additional reports from the data provided. would it be Peachtree accounting software or Microsoft accounting express or if there are any other please do let me know.

You sir should take a good look a quickbooks pro. It isn’t dirt cheap but it will do the job. Also most CPA’s are familiar with it. And can take a copy of your file and import it for their tax prep. It will save you a ton come tax time. It is also fairly easy to learn. And has payroll interfaces. It is a very good solution.
