Question by Erin B: should I take this job offer? I don't want to leave my family?
Currently, I am an accountant in a small business about 30 mins outside of Detroit. Right now I make about $ 40,000 a year plus benefits. The job offer I received is as an assistant financial officer, in chicago, about 4 hours away. If I take the job, I would make $ 70,000 a year plus benefits, insurance, and 2 weeks of paid vacation. I have no husband/boyfriend, and I have no kids. The only thing holding me back is the fact that all of my family is here in the Detroit area and I don't want to be lonely if I go. I do like Chicago, but I've never considered living there. What should I do?

YOU HAVE TO GO! This is a one time opportunity, you will still not be that far away from your family to visit plus you can always email, call and skype them! They would want you to do this ! ! ! !

…..so it really just comes down to if ur a family person or a person who’s just wantin some money

I would seriously consider moving. It seems like an excellent opportunity for you. If you’re really unsure, make a pro-con list for both scenarios, and see which one comes with more ‘pro’s. You could also talk to your family and see what they think. Best of luck either way.
